Parker is certainly developing into a toddler with a BIG personality! He continues to amazes us with how smart a one and a half year old could be. He knows LOTS of words and reminds of how much he loves fishing on a daily bases. When we say the word "real" or "really" in a sentence he starts moving his hands around as if he were reeling in a fishing pole! He loves to be outside (as if you wouldn't have know that...) and loves to show his affection for momma and daddy!
Last week we converted his crib into a toddler bed. He is doing very well sleeping in it. I will post a picture of his first nap in the big boy bed later! The first night we surrounded it with pillows to ease Chad's nerves about a broken arm! Around 3 am Parker very quietly walked into our bedroom and started patting Chad's back. We both woke up laughing! So far, there have been no injuries and no lack of sleep!
On the subject of tantrums... we had our first one in public Saturday. Parker decided he no longer wanted to be in the shopping cart at Target, or be eating popcorn anymore...after 3 minutes! I know that it is the beginning of a pretty long phase but luckily I think he is really cute and God has granted me with a lot of patience when it comes to dealing with Parker.
Chad and I are doing great and got to enjoy dinner for 2 this weekend! Parker got to sleep over at his Grammies (Chad's mom) and then we all celebrated his Great Pipi's, Uncle Chase's and my birthdays on Sunday. We had a great time seeing everyone!
