Well, since my last post we have been out of town and super busy! So, here is whats been going on...
We went to Cyclone Steel's annual fishing tournament a few weekends ago. Parker was adored by many and Chad served as one of Cyclone's fishing guides. Chad actually guided 9 ladies, by himself, that had never fished before. He was a trooper- baiting their hooks, untangling lines, and they all had a great time. Everyone caught fish too! We had a great time and celebrated my Dad's 52nd birthday on Sunday.
Last week, Parker, my mom and I all flew to Oklahoma to visit with family. Parker did great on the plane and thought flying was very cool. We had a great time visiting, eating, visiting, eating... Parker's great grandma was having Doberman puppies while we were there. It was neat to see brand new pups! Everyone was doing really well and Parker enjoyed playing with cousins.
While we were visiting, Chad, Trent and Dad went fishing at Choke Canyon with friends. I think they really enjoyed a guys weekend on the lake!
I have also kept busy with my work with The Paper Station, volunteering with MOPS and VBS. Parker is getting very verbal - he likes to express himself more and more everyday. Chad and I are continually thankful for being so dearly blessed with our son!
We have also been involved in a couples Bible study at our church for the past few months. It is really neat to have fellowship with other Christian couples on a weekly bases. Being a young couple, it is neat to have the opportunity to learn from others who have "been there, done that" and can offer insight into parenting and marraige. We are currently doing a study on Fireproofing your marriage. http://www.fireproofmymarriage.com/ It is a great movie for all couples! I think it is a great reminder to keep your relationship Christ centered and focused - even in our divorce easy society.
